Moshe’s story: On FIRE despite a hectic life

Moshe is in a demanding top management position. Over the years he neglected his health.  He was gaining weight, became a diabetic and was put on insulin.  His health did not improve.  During Covid, Moshe lost two of his siblings in a short time.  That was his wake-up call.  He realised that as a person with diabetes, he may not survive Covid.

It was then, on advice from a trusted colleague, that Moshe joined the FIRE Diabetes programme in January 2021.  And now, more than a year and a half later, Moshe is a new person:  Feeling better, lighter, younger and stopped using insulin.

Moshe admits that it was not easy to change to the FIRE lifestyle as he was traveling a lot for business and his extended family did not always understand why he does not want to eat his “old favourites” anymore.

His wife was his strength and support and journeyed with him.

Today, Moshe feels like a young man, with levels of energy and mental clarity way above his peers.

Moshe is an example of how a person with a demanding and busy life can take control of his health and reverse insulin resistance.
