DAY 2 | Tips to FIRE, today

  1. Get into the kitchen and enjoy todayu2019s fabulous meals u2013 hopefully with family and friends! Share your photos on our WhatsApp Group. Stick to the green list! Take your prescribed food as medicine!u00a0Donu2019t cheat!

  2. Remember to drink at least 2u00bd litres of fluidsu00a0every day (e.g. water, tea, rooibos, coffee).u00a0

  3. Before you go to bed, take the list and check which false thought patterns and thought mistakes resurfaced during the day. Tell these thoughts and fears u2013 in no uncertain terms u2013 that they are false and tell yourself how you will replace them with thoughts to encourage and assist you on your journey to FIRE Diabetes in 40 Days.

  4. Are you taking your supplements?u00a0Remember that cinnamon, bicarb, Vit D and magnesium are your most important friends to FIRE Diabetes.
  • Take 1 teaspoon of fineu00a0cinnamon. Mix it with a bit of double full cream plain yogurt. Cinnamon brings down blood sugar.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon ofu00a0baking sodau00a0(koeksoda) with a bit of water and drink first thing in the morning. Baking soda helps to make your body less acidic and improves kidney function.
  • Vitamin D3: Take 7,000 – 10,000 IU daily (or 50,000 IU per week)
  • Elementalu00a0Magnesium: 250 to 500 mg per day
