Today, we discuss the effects of diet (and fasting) on your skin. A high carb diet u2013 and in particular a high sugar diet u2013 can lead to a thin, wrinkly skin that is old beyond its chronological age, and prone to infection, immune effects and slow wound healing. The FIRE diet u2013 including fasting u2013 can boost skin thickness and elasticity, improve protection against infective agents, reduce inflammation and boost wound healing. We also discuss keto rash and how to treat it.
