#5 | Fears and Fallacies: The FIRE diet is safe and effective

By now, you’ve likely heard about the ketogenic (keto) diet. You probably wonder how (and if) it works. Today we uncover several myths about the ketogenic diet and we discuss some persistent misunderstandings. Before we go into it let’s try to understand what the keto diet is. We focus on the keto diet, since it underlies most of the dietary recommendations in the FIRE diet. Since the FIRE Diet also includes fasting, we also include some fasting myths and misunderstandings.
